What is Coaching?
Coaching is the process of eliciting and assessing current thoughts and emotions within a person. Observing behavioral and linguistic patterns, aiding in setting specific goals and discerning hidden saboteurs. It is a process of creating a deep level of respect and rapport with the person being coached to help them feel comfortable, safe and able to move towards a life of success and happiness, a life they choose to have.
Coaching encourages the approach that every behavior has a positive intention behind it, and that failure does not exist, only feedback. This feedback is identified and interpreted to discover what is holding one back from reaching ones goals and desired outcomes. During the coaching process new plans of action are created to start achieving these goals and desired outcomes. Current resources that one already possesses for success of any nature are pinpointed and encouraged, while any limiting saboteurs, keeping one from moving forward towards the goal, are eliminated.
Successful strategies are learnt for overcoming ones saboteurs and one gains the ability to make better and finer distinctions leading to solid decisions and future life choices more naturally and effortlessly.
What is a Coach?
A coach is someone that has the tools, techniques, focus, wisdom, intent and knowledge to elicit a clients values, goals and beliefs. The coach then is able to create a plan of action and strategy for success towards the clients desired goals and outcomes, and also guide the client towards it. A coach remains focused on the clients outcome without becoming attached to it personally and by maintaining flexibility. A relationship of mutual trust and respect is created and here the coach can offer a broader perspective of truth to the client as there is no emotional connection in the professional relationship.
